Liu and Chu [4] set up a 2D barcode and handheld augmented reality system called HELLO (Handheld English Learning Organization) to improve students' English level. 2D barcodes that leveraged the QR Code technology were generated, printed on paper and were placed in various outdoor locations in a school campus in Taiwan.
