Based on the overwhelming amount of existing research regarding gender and language, it quickly becomes clear that males and females have unique modes of communicating both within their own gender and outside of it. Females and males show many differences in the way they communicate. As hypothesized by many researchers, females have a more attentive stance when communicating with both men and women. Males, on the other hand, do not show the same degree of physical attentiveness, thus displaying less eyesight, sitting further away from another person and glancing in another’s direction infrequently.
