The unfair remunerations are always dangerous as it may not only affect the performance of the business organization and the relationship between the shareholders and management but may also be the leading cause of the violation of the corporate governance (Moran, 2010). This is because if management within an organization are paid salaries that are considered unfair and below the market level, they may start engaging in actions that may be really harmful to the organization and may results in the violation of the corporate governance.
On the other hand, fair compensation are also not a guarantee the management may not engage in acts that violate the corporate governance concept, because in order to magnify their own returns and accomplish the targets that has been set for management, some dishonest management staff may engage in activities like creative accounting and stock market operation that may harm the long-term survival of business organization. The way out in most of the cases is disclosure, proper governance and regulations that could ensure that management of the organization get a fair return for their commitment towards the organization.
